And now...

One more before we go to the frozen tundra

Sophie found a giant MANHOLE COVER! Aren't you excited? Before anyone asks what that thing on her head is; it's the butterfly hat, and we love it. I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of it over the next week or two... Thanks again Maya.

Can we please get to the candy part?

Windy the Pooh. (Dormez-vous?)
I love this, she just randomly started singing it at dinner tonight and we laughed so hard -once we realized what she thought she was singing. It will forever after be known as the "Where is sausage?" song.

The newest addition to our nightly ritual

Sophie likes to hold the flashlight while we read bedtime stories.

'Tis the season

Mom: What do you want to do today?

Sophie: I want to open the Christmas tree
(she means the present that's under the tree).

Mom: Nope, not yet.

Sophie: Hafta wait until after Santa Claus comes to town.

Mom: That's right.

Sophie: Santa Claus is going to bring me a green bike.

Mom: I don't know about that, would it be okay
if he brought you something else?

Sophie: I want a doggie with long hair.

Mom: Um.....

Christmas on Las Olas

Sophie's first meeting with Santa Claus. She was really excited until we got up close. No crying or freaking out, just got quiet and had very pensive look on her face. She's seen two others since this one and each time she gets more brave. She still doesn't want to sit on Santa's knee (can't say I blame her).Making ornaments. She's a very serious little artist.
Putting her hand in the mouth of the lion (well, a bronze sculpture of one anyway).
