The Arizona Cav contingent

Tons of fun in the park with cousins engineering genius Joey "The Godfajah" and soccer stud Nick. Believe it or not, it was harder to get those grown up Cavaretta kids out of the park after two hours than it was to get Sophie to leave for dinner!

Mustachioed

Ryan and Tyler sport Fingerstaches on their faces. The boys gave Joe a stache while he was napping.

Christmas in El Paso

Opening one present on Chrismtas Eve, so exciting!
Waking up Christmas morning at Grandma T's house.
Sophie and Shiloh in matching Fancy Nancy pajamas.
"Helping" her cousin unwrap presents.
Chris got the "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" game.
Sophie got a big girl suitcase -it might be bigger than she is!
A snowball fight with Uncle Doc.
Sophie's been dying to play the piano with Grandpa Chuck.
Christmas dinner at the "kids table."

When in Texas...

... get your pink cowboy boots shined! At least, that's what you do when stuck in Dallas on a three-hour layover. Merry Christmas y'all!

Dear Santa...

Sophie was worried that since we'd be visiting Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas, Santa wouldn't be able to find her. So she wrote him a note.
"Dear Santa, I am in El Paso. Sophia"

Christmas Song and Dance at School

Outsmarted again!

Sophie: I'm just dying to see what Santa brang us because it's almost Christmas.

Mom
: What Santa brings us, what he will bring us, what he brought us. Brang is not a word.

Sophie
: Right. I'm just dying to see what Santa gives us.

Blasphemous?

Joe bought Sophie a 2-disk set of kids sing-along Christmas songs and she's been listening to it non-stop for days. When she's not listening to it, she's singing the songs to herself.

This is one of my current favorites:
"Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere. Go tell it on the mountain, that Jesus Christ is CORN."
And yes, I've tried to explain that those aren't the words,
but it doesn't matter, she sings 'em the way she likes 'em!

A budding photographer

Sophie's friend, Lauren, shot these pictures on her mom's iPhone at Miss Rebekah's abandon ship -er, going away party. So cute!
It's crazy how this generation will grow up knowing this kind of technology (kinda like the way we knew how to use the hand brake on a big wheel).

Insanity

Mom: You're insane
Sophie: I'm not insane, I'm in Florida!
