Sophie's first s'more

She made it through about half before she gave up.
Too much of a good thing, I guess!

Sanibel Island 2011, part 1

We made our annual trek to Sanibel Island for Labor Day weekend and this time we got to bring some friends with us. Laura, Hayden and their daughter Camille, Hayden's mom, Ellice, and Christy and her two kids, Will and Caitey.

Sharing ice cream at Pinocchio's. Camille, Caitey, and Sophie in front of The Colony Resort. Watching "The Little Mermaid" with Laura and Camille. A great time was had by all.

Give 'em hell, Michelle!

In Minnesota this June, our 15-year-old niece, Michelle, (Sophie's fairy godmommy) and Sophie did a lot of dancing.
Sophie couldn't take her eyes off her idol (center in black) as she watched through the glass door during class.

When Michelle was busy in class, Aunt T got in on the act.
Sophie often says she wants to be a famous ballerina
(like Michelle) when she grows up.
If our girl turns out half as smart and beautiful and poised and funny and talented as that niece of ours, we will be so blessed.
Michelle started dancing full-time at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington D.C. this week. We just couldn't be more proud.

Good luck Shelly-Belly! We love you. XOXO
