Just her size

Sophie found a dog that can't pull her over when he runs: Miss Carolyn's chihuahua, Timon.

"And justicey for all"

For which it stands: "Daddy, why is there a witch in this story?"

Sophie's first recital

Since Sophie's dance classes are during the day at school while we're at work, we weren't sure what to expect at this recital. We were so impressed when all the girls showed their stuff on stage in front of hundreds of parents.Sophie wants to be a "famous ballerina" when she grows up, but says "you've gotta work really hard though."
recital,dance
Our girl was all smiles the whole time, no stage fright, no tears, no coaxing necessary. She didn't even want me to hang out backstage with her. She's all grown up I guess.
This last one is her "move." She's been running around for a week saying "mom, watch this!"

Uncorrected perfection

A friend asked me recently if there are things Sophie says that we don't correct because we just think they're too cute. I couldn't think of anything right there on the spot, so now, Laura, this one's for you:

"How do you say guppy in Pork-a-geez?" (Portuguese)

And there's always the aforementioned ah-pooh-stick. (acoustic)

I love this face...

...and the giggles that go with it.

Disney on Ice

Maren's mom was nice enough to share these adorable photos she took when we took the girls to Disney on Ice in Miami.
They had a great time, and the "Princess" Sophie has asked about most after seeing the show is... wait for it... Mulan! We finally saw the movie last weekend. I love that she's most interested in the girl who saves China from the Huns.

Right on.
